Hostelzz.com Hostelss.com & the other booking agencies

When looking for and reserving a place to stay at any hostel in the world, please consider that these companies often take over hostel sites, making themselves look like the hostel web site. And they usually take over the top listing in the search engines. They take your reservation and may force the hostel to honor it. The hostel does not get all the money you paid and if there is a problem, it isn't the booking agencies that help you. Please book directly with the hostels you choose.

University of Alaska Directory of Environmental and Conservation Organizations here you will find a plethora of links to environmental sites relative to Alaska.

Natural Resources Defense Council this is the premier resource for current information on legislation and practices that are impacting the environment, including an alternative energy plan, worldwide.

7th Generation Products - They save a lot of trees and landfill space. At Denali Mountain Morning we try to use nothing but 'green' cleaning products including a lot of their products. We believe in their goals. We exclusively use their toilet tissue. We feel it is important what we put into our septic system, as it eventually ends up in the aquifer.

Visit their web site to see how many trees we are helping save and other good things. It makes a difference, especially when you use 1000 rolls of TP a summer.

Greenprinter - If you ever need anything printed, consider using these guys. They use recycled paper and soy ink. We use them for our rack cards. And they have a lot of other earth-friendly products as well.

Last but not least, many people have asked what Denali is like in the Winter. Since a picture is worth a thousand words, I decided to include this picture of Denali in the Winter. No, that's it, no link. ;)
